I know many people are wondering why Justin Bieber is so popular. After listening to some of his songs (very popular on the radio) and watching the video for Baby, my conclusion is that his stuff is fun and upbeat. Actually kind of reminds me of old school Usher (My Way video) where it’s a bit of dancing and a bit of romancing and mostly catchy goodness. I have to say I’m a bit biased since I’ve always loved R&B. When people were listening to B.I.G. in middle school I was catching up on R&B stuff (Honey era Mariah Carey). I know that there was also a period in time where boy bands took over (yea Backstreet Boys) and even emo (don’t ask). I’m kind of happy to catch Justin Bieber on the radio for a change. I miss that kind of happy catchy feel good tune still has a little bit cheesy feeling to it. It’s edgier than wholesome pop but not quite as explicit as some R&B out there.

Another song that I like is “One Love”. I used to like “One Less Only Girl” but didn’t think the lyrics were as good.
